In an update Wednesday morning, the Minneapolis Fire Department reported no one was hurt in a fire at a Minneapolis apartment complex and that the occupants of three units were displaced. Additionally, the fire department reported two cats had died in the fire. Two families lost their homes after a fire at an apartment complex near the intersection of I-35W and E. Franklin Avenue in Minneapolis Tuesday night. The fire occurred in a four-story apartment building on the 300 block of East 19th Street, according to the Minneapolis Fire Department. Firefighters said no one was hurt but said a cat did die in the fire. "As I was getting my stuff together, I look into my kitchen and just nothing but red smoke all over," resident Mo Khan said.
