A home sustained significant damage after a fire broke out on Tuesday in Bemidji.
According to a release from the Bemidji Fire Department, at 9:37 a.m. on Tuesday, May 17, firefighters responded to the report of a structure fire at 4007 Cardinal Road NW in Eckles Township.
Upon arrival, firefighters found a single-story house with an attached garage on fire. Smoke and fire also appeared to be extending into the home’s attic space, the release said.
Due to the intensity of the fire, firefighters initially fought the fire from outside with a two-and-a-half-foot attack line. A second attack line was placed inside the house to prevent the fire from extending further into the home, the release said.
