VIDEO: Five people were rescued and two people were injured in a two-alarm fire at the Meramec Valley Apartments in Arnold. The view from Sky5 showed heavy smoke coming out of the roof of one of the buildings in the 200 block of Meramec Valley. Flames were visible along the edge of the roof and the top of the roof. While crews from a ladder truck worked to put out the fire, another firefighter stood on a ladder looking inside a window on the second story of the building. Harder said firefighters checked every room of the complex to make sure no one else was trapped. Fire officials have not released any further information at this time.
