A Moberly man who allegedly placed a toilet paper roll in the oven of a downtown Moberly apartment Saturday, while another person was inside, is facing two felony charges. Brandon Moenck, 34, is charged with arson and felony resisting arrest. More charges could be tacked onto Moenck’s case depending on any additional evidence that turns up in the investigation. “At this point I will probably wait to receive all the reports, statements, etc. from the investigation before determining what if any charges can be filed,” Randolph County Prosecuting Attorney Stephanie Luntsford wrote in an email. Police responded to the incident around 5 a.m. Saturday morning. Initially the call was only for peace disturbance. When officers arrived, they spoke to Moenck outside of a Reed Street apartment.
