On Friday, July 31, Johnson County Fire District's Water Rescue Unit responded to the 200 block of Northeast 151st Road, Northeast of Warrensburg at Monkey Mountain Bridge for a vehicle swept off the roadway. Four subjects were rescued from the water, where they were clinging to trees about 100 yards from the roadway. The rescue was made by boat and everyone is safe. This was the sixth water rescue incident reported on July 31st. Including this rescue, seven subjects were rescued from water yesterday.
