Around 10:30pm on Tuesday night the Savannah Fire Department was called to a home about a structure fire. According to Savannah Fire Chief Brian Roarty, the fire caused two occupants of the home to be forced to climb the roof. Neighbors were fortunate enough to have a ladder that the two occupants were able to use to get down before fire crews arrived. "We strive to get there as quickly as we can to take care of people's property," said Roarty. "Safety is the top priority for the occupants and then ourselves. We just have to make sure everything is safe." The two occupants were taken to the hospital with burn injuries.
