A fire heavily damaged at least two portable classrooms at Lee Elementary School, Jackson fire officials said Monday. The fire was reported at 3:26 a.m. at the school on Judy Street, authorities said. No injuries were reported. "A fire investigator is conducting the investigation into the cause," said Division Fire Chief Cleotha Sanders. The last day for Jackson Public Schools students was May 24.
