Meridian firefighters were called to the scene of a trailer fire early Sunday morning in Meridian. It was around 3:00 a.m. when police officers and fire crews were alerted to a semi truck trailer on fire on South Frontage Road. When Meridian firefighters arrived there were heavy flames and smoke billowing out of the trailer, which was said to only contain furniture. It took firefighters roughly 25 minutes to fully extinguish the flames and begin putting out hot spots. South Frontage Road was shut down for more than an hour. The driver of the truck managed to save the cab before the fire spread. No one was injured in the incident.
