A fire sparked on an 18-wheeler early Monday morning. The incident happened around 1:30 a.m. at the Gallatin Street exit. The truck driver said he was hauling tires from North Carolina to Texas. He was getting off the interstate when he smelled smoke and pulled over. The truck had a blown tire and a fire started at the back of the 18-wheeler. Firefighters had to fight several rekindling of the fire before it was officially out. The trailer was destroyed. The driver was not injured.
