A fire destroyed at least one apartment Thursday at a complex on County Line Road, authorities said.
Fire officials said the fire was reported around 2 p.m. Thursday at Somerset Place Apartments in the 1500 block of E. County Line Road.
"Firefighters reported the fire had broken through the roof. They then took their engine line and made an attack," said Division Chief Cleotha Sanders. "Once inside the structure, the firefighters were able to knock down the fire in one unit, but then they quickly had to exit the unit because the fire had broken through."
Eight units were affected by the fire, but only one was a complete loss, firefighters said.
No injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
