The Vicksburg Fire Department is investigating after an abandoned home went into flames.
According to Vicksburg Fire Chief Derrick Stamps, firefighters were called to a home on Reading Street Sunday at 10:15 a.m. The fire chief says firefighters put the fire out, however, they noticed something was still fueling the fire. That is when firefighters realized a gas line had burst.
According to Chief Stamps, the gas company was called to the home.
Chief Stamps said the home was abandoned.
No injuries were reported. The fire is under investigation.
