West Fargo street closed for hazardous material cleanup after spill

A West Fargo road is closed Thursday so crews can clean up a fuel spill. Just after midnight, the West Fargo Fire Department responded to the intersection of 13th Street NE and 7th Avenue NE. They discovered that a fuel truck sprung a leak while driving down 7th Avenue. Crews secured the road and blocked nearby water drainage systems. As of Thursday morning, they have not found any fuel in nearby water or drainage systems. They found the leaking fuel truck and say the fuel has been transferred to a different truck. 7th Avenue NE will be closed from 10th Street to 13th Street NE on Thursday for cleanup.
