Firefighters from Tamworth, Center Ossipee, West Ossipee and Conway were thanked by innkeepers for responding to a chimney fire at the Farmstand Bed and Breakfast in Chocorua Wednesday morning. "Tamworth was first on the scene and then the Center Ossipee department guys really did a bang-up job," innkeeper Kimball Packard said Wednesday. ‘They were able to do it without doing any indiscriminate water damage, so we are very thankful for all of that and things are back to normal other than that we can't use our woodstove," he said. He said he and gardener Jackie Stewart were in a back room when Stewart said he heard a loud noise coming from the chimney. Packard, who said he had just started a fire, said, "We looked up and saw the flames up the chimney."
