An elderly man from Concord was killed after a manufactured home fire on Thursday.
Just past 3 p.m., Capital Region Fire Dispatch reported an alarm activation at 10 Lantern Lane in Jensen’s Park off Manchester Street. Just before fire and rescue teams arrived, dispatch told them the call came from an occupant who reported hearing alarms inside the home.
When firefighters arrived, they saw smoke from the delta (right) side of the manufactured home and requested an additional engine. A line was stretched from one of the tankers to the back of the home, and firefighters began fighting the fire.
Fire dispatch reported one “fire victim,” a man in the late 80s, was found inside. A working fire was called for the city, and two ambulances and more firefighters were sent to Lantern Lane. Mutual aid was provided by Hooksett and Loudon firefighters and Hopkinton EMTs.
