Some carpoolers and vacationers who left their vehicles in a carpool parking lot and an overflow lot near the Concord Coach Bus Depot on Stickney Avenue are in store for a shock when they return to their vehicles.
A cement truck driver careened off Interstate 93 south on Monday, crashed into a guardrail, and then swerved off the highway into a carpool parking lot and the overflow lot of the bus depot near the new Brady Sullivan NH DOT apartment complex. Around 1:30 p.m., police dispatch began receiving reports that a truck “came flying around, hitting lots of vehicles and things.”
Witnesses described the driver recklessly operating the truck and hearing multiple booms.
The first arriving officer said the driver appeared in and out of consciousness. They said the truck appeared to have driven off the Interstate, down the embankment, and into all the vehicles.
