VIDEO: Firefighters rescued a deer on Sunday morning that went through the ice on a New Hampshire lake. The Gilmanton Firefighters' Association said they responded around 8 a.m. to Crystal Lake in Gilmanton — a community located about 49 miles outside of Manchester. When they arrived, they found a deer went through the ice about 200 yards from shore, the association said. The association said Gilmanton firefighters and firefighters from the Alton Fire Department performed the ice rescue and rescued the deer. The association said the deer was tired, shivering, and exhausted but was last seen up and walking around.
