A fire tore through a home on Cannonball Drive in the Park Place complex Monday evening, destroying the entire structure.
There were no reported injuries resulting from the blaze, Tinton Falls Fire Company No. 1 said in a Facebook post.
Fire crews from Tinton Falls, Ocean Township, Little Silver, Asbury Park and Neptune all responded to the scene. The fire was first reported about 5 p.m.
Paul Eidman, who lives about a block away from the damaged home, was driving home from the grocery store when he saw plumes of smoke and flames emanating from his neighborhood.
"It was way too close to home to see that kind of smoke and fire coming out of the sky," he said. "(It was) just a big plume of black smoke and the fire coming up through the tops of the trees."
