A man who died in a motorcycle crash here was a retired police officer and a former fire chief. David Paul Warner Jr. was a police officer in Southampton and Pemberton Borough before finishing his career in Medford Lake's police department, according to an obituary. The Vincentown man was a former chief of the Vincent Fire Company, which has hung solemn bunting outside its Race Street staton. A GoFundMe campaign has been launched to benefit Warner's wife and two daughters. "He was loved by so many people and we are all grappling with how to help," says the fundraising appeal, organized by Jeff Mayne of Vincentown. Warner, 56, lost his life Sunday night in an accident on Route 70 in Southampton. Warner was riding his Harley-Davidson on westbound 70 when he collided with a vehicle turning right onto Burrs Mill Road around 8:30 p.m., according to a New Jersey State Police account.
