A man was killed Monday morning in a collision between a tractor-trailer and a box truck in Teaneck that shut down lanes on Route 95 for nearly four hours, an employee and authorities said.
The box truck was pinned underneath the back of a ShopRite tractor-trailer on Route 95 northbound in Teaneck at about 6:49 a.m., said state Trooper Charles Marchan. One person died in the crash, he said.
The box truck driver who died in the crash worked for Dasilva Trucking, based in New York, according to data from the Department of Transportation.
When reached by phone, an employee at the trucking company said the driver had worked at the company for two months before hanging up.
