A bus with 18 people aboard overturned Tuesday afternoon on the New Jersey Turnpike as icy weather continued to fall throughout the state.
No serious injuries were reported to any of the passengers, but it was unknown as of 4:45 p.m. exactly how many were hurt, according to New Jersey State Police Trooper Alejandro Goez.
All the passengers were removed from the bus, Goez said.
The accident, which involved an Alliance Transport bus based out of New Brunswick, was reported on northbound side of the highway near exit 11 around 4 p.m., he said.
Police did not immediately know if any other cars were involved in the accident
The right lane in the area was blocked as of 5 p.m. and there were delays from the exit to the toll plaza, police said.
