One person was killed and another resident injured in an overnight fire in three-story Ocean Grove home that had been converted into apartments, authorities said. The extent of that person’s injuries isn’t know, a spokesman for the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office said. Two emergency responders were also treated for minor injuries. Neighbors said there multiple apartments on the third-floor where most of the fire damage was visible. Debris from the fire was piled on the sidewalk in front of the building and crime scene tape continued to block access to the area. The flames melted the siding of a neighboring home.
