Did you know that hydrants can corrode due to UV rays, rain and temperature extremes? Regular painting can eliminate and prevent both of those problems.
As a community service project, Mission Deming, with the cooperation of the Deming Fire Department, has committed to painting the 568 fire hydrants with the city limits – a project which benefits members of the Ministerial Alliance in Deming and the community as well
Members of various churches and organizations will meet on three Saturdays in November (3, 10 and 17) and enjoy a light breakfast before heading out to "paint the town red."
