A woman has been charged with arson after allegedly setting an auto repair shop on fire, while her husband was asleep inside of it. Vienna Johnson, 37, of Roswell, is accused of using a molotov cocktail to set fire to the office of a 600 block of East Second Street auto repair shop Saturday at about 3:30 a.m., according to documents filed Monday in Chaves County Magistrate Court. She is charged with one count of arson over $2,500 but not more than $25,000. Johnson’s husband, who is an employee of the shop and was living there at the time, was able to escape the burning building without serious injury. Court documents suggest while the frame of the building remained intact, the western portion of the office and its contents sustained heavy damage.
