Carson City Fire Department and sheriff's deputies were called Thursday evening to a small structure fire coming from a residence in the area of Idaho Street. Carson City Fire Department personnel arriving on scene reported smoke coming from a residence. The fire was reported just before 6:20 p.m. Residents in the home had evacuated. Firefighters report gaining access into the residence and extinguishing the kitchen fire at 6:25 p.m. No injuries were reported. Traffic in the area was diverted due to emergency vehicles.
