Last night at about 11 p.m., Reno Fire responded to the Bungalows at Sky Vista on Silver Sky Parkway on reports of a structure fire. Upon arriving on scene, crews could not see flames, but encountered a smoke bank that spanned from the ceiling to the floor of the apartment reported. As they searched the area, they found the resident of apartment deceased. The resident's dog was found alive and has been taken into custody by animal control.
The Reno Fire Department is continuing with an investigation into the incident.
