VIDEO: An investigation is underway after crews contained a fire at a house on Cambrian Way off of north McCarran Blvd in north Reno. The fire was first reported just after 9 a.m. on Friday. Firefighters say the fire started at the front of the house, then spread to the attic where a part of the roof collapsed. The Reno Fire Department says the cause of the fire was a faulty electrical supply line from and to the garage exterior lighting chase. Authorities say they called out a precautionary mayday call due to the partial collapse, but they no found no firefighters underneath the debris. No injuries were reported and the fire was contained to just the home. The home sustained structural damage, along with water and smoke damage. Neighboring roads may be blocked off while crews clear the scene.
