VIDEO: A white powder blown from a Kleenex box onto the face of a person inside a room at the Silver Legacy in downtown Reno triggered a hazmat response from the Reno Fire Department, according to Reno Battalion Chief Mark Winkelman. The powder was tested and deemed harmless, turning out to be a powder produced as a byproduct in the paper tissue-making process. "An individual in a hotel room up on the 10th floor opened a box of Kleenex and got a face-full of white powder," Winkelman said. Four people inside the room were exposed to the powder. They became concerned over what they were exposed to and a hazmat team was deployed to get a sample. The powder was tested for biological substances like anthrax and botulism.
