Carson City Fire Department responded early Monday morning to a structure fire at a residence in the 2900 block of Lukens Lane. At around 12:15 a.m. dispatch alerted the fire department of smoke coming from a residence. First responders on scene reported flames visible, smoke coming from the roof area and that the occupants of the residence had safely escaped the house. A total of 19 firefighters were needed to extinguish the fire. No injuries were reported and damage to the home is estimated at $150,000, according to the Carson City Fire Department.
