UMC staff on Thursday held a candlelight vigil to remember those who have died during the COVID-19 outbreak.
The hospital posted a photo to Instagram showing people forming a heart with their candles in front of the building.
"UMC team members came together tonight for a candlelight memorial in honor of the many family members, friends and neighbors we have lost throughout the COVID-19 pandemic," the post states. "As we look toward a brighter future for our community, we will always remember those we lost during the past year."
Nevada health officials report 5,490 people have died from COVID-19 or COVID-related causes since the outbreak began in March last year.
