VIDEO: A fire that broke out at the Ballpark Apartments, which are under construction near Greater Nevada Field, sent two firefighters to the hospital Friday night.
Those firefighters had been discharged as of Saturday morning.
The fire broke out around 8:30 p.m. Friday night and was not cleared until 7:30 a.m. Saturday, according to a Reno Fire Department spokesperson.
The fire caused significant damage to the building, including burning holes in the floors. The RFD spokesperson estimates it may take a while to repair the damage.
The fire started on the 3rd floor before spreading to the 4th and 5th. 78 people responded to the fire across multiple agencies, including Truckee Meadows Fire & Rescue, Sparks Fire Department, and North Lake Tahoe Fire, in addition to the Reno Fire Department.
