Thousands were left without power Wednesday afternoon in the same area where two brush fires broke out. Power has since been restored in the area. The Reno Fire Department says multiple power lines were blown down, lighting the sagebrush on fire in two areas. The fires broke out on Cashill Boulevard just after 2:45 p.m. The fires were quickly extinguished. Roads were closed around the fire for about an hour while crews mopped up but have since reopened.
