The Clark County Fire Department is advising the public about smoky conditions due to live fire training exercises happening later this week.
The training sessions will take place on Thursday, May 2, and Friday, May 3, at a house at 7051 Raven Avenue, northwest of Blue Diamond and Rainbow Boulevard.
CCFD said the home was generously donated to the department for this valuable training.
A class of 60 rookie firefighters undergoing Fire Academy Training will participate in the exercises from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Thursday and 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Friday.
"The CCFD rookie school can be challenging, but it pays off when the recruits get to put everything they have learned into this live, hands-on training," said Clark County Fire Chief John Steinbeck.
