The Carson City Fire Department held a female firefighter workshop on Saturday. The workshop shared information on physical tests, day to day operations and what it takes to become a firefighter. The event introduced more women to the fire service and addressed everything from breaking down EMS training to the application process. The Northern Nevada Fire Chiefs Association encourages women interested in becoming firefighters to sign up for the Silver State Women in Fire Event on June 29.
