A 36-year-old Yerington resident died, one person was injured and three escaped from a house fire Monday night in Yerington, according to the Lyon County Sheriff's Office.
At approximately 11:49 p.m. the Lyon County Sheriff's Office, Communications Division received a 911 call of a reported residential structure fire on Spence Lane in Yerington.
The Yerington/Mason Valley Fire Department, Deputies from the Lyon County Sheriff's Office, Southern Command Patrol Division, and the Yerington Police department responded to the residence. Upon arrival, they found a single family home, fully engulfed in fire, according to the sheriff's office in a news release.
It was quickly determined that one female adult and two juveniles were able to escape the fire uninjured.
