Las Vegas Fire and Rescue responded to several reports of a fire in a central Las Vegas valley neighborhood early Wednesday morning.
When crews arrived around 2 a.m. at the area of Valley View Boulevard and Sahara Avenue, they saw that the fire spread to two other houses, resulting in it being upgraded to a two-alarm fire.
It was a rude awakening for resident Wini Lau who was rushed out by firefighters with her now soot-covered dog, Mini.
“I was in deep sleep and then suddenly I heard two bomb sounds outside and when I looked out the window, there were all these flames outside,” she recounted.
After a 10-minute battle, crews gave the all-clear just before 2:30 a.m. Las Vegas Fire and Rescue staff explained the fire damaged the first house’s garage and its door.
