Firefighters are investigating what caused a house fire early Tuesday morning. Crews responded at 4:24 a.m. to Gilbert Street and Stanley Avenue on a report of a fire. Officials say when firefighters arrived they found smoke and flames coming from the home. Firefighters were able to put the fire out a short time later and an investigator has been called to the scene to investigate, according to the fire chief on the scene. No injuries were immediately reported and it is unclear if anyone was inside the home at the time of the fire. The fire remains under investigation.
