One week after two Licking Heights High School students were hospitalized for suspected overdoses, police are awaiting test results and school officials are moving ahead with “discipline” procedures.
The two LHHS students hospitalized Feb. 6 have since been released, according to district officials; a police investigation continues regarding what they ingested that led to their need for emergency transport.
“The students transported last week were treated and released, and we are now working through the district discipline process with those involved,” Licking Heights spokeswoman Mallory Sribanditmongkol said in a statement issued Feb. 12.
As previously reported, Pataskala police and West Licking Fire District EMS personnel responded to Licking Heights High School for two students experiencing medical emergencies shortly after 8 a.m. on Feb. 6.
