The Sheffield Village Fire Department responded July 10 to a fire that destroyed a limousine garage.
At 4:40 a.m., firefighters arrived to Statement Limousine, 3747 Colorado Ave., for the garage that was 75 percent involved, according to Sheffield Village fire Capt. B.J. Huge.
Huge said crews put water on the fire and the second alarm went out for mutual aid for Sheffield Township, Sheffield Lake, Avon, Avon Lake, Lorain and Elyria fire departments.
The bulk of the fire was under control by around 7:30 a.m., and the other departments left the scene at that time, Huge said.
Sheffield Village remained at the fire taking care of hot spots and making sure the fire was completely out, he said.
