Crews from several Mercer County fire departments were called out early Tuesday to battle flames at a home in Greenville. Mercer County Dispatch put out the first call just after 4:30 am to a working structure fire at 9 Elm Street. A second call for more manpower from other departments went out about ten minutes later. Crews had the fire under control just after 5 am. It is not yet known if anyone was injured. The state fire marshal has been contacted to help determine the cause of the fire.
