House fire in Riverside produces heavy flames

VIDEOS/PHOTOS: Flames raged in Riverside on Friday morning. The fire erupted at a structure on the 4000 block of Linden Avenue. According to Huber Heights Police and Fire Dispatch, crews were dispatched to the scene on report of a structure fire. Our 2 NEWS crew on scene at the fire spoke with Battalion Chief of Riverside Brian Taylor for more information. Taylor said that crews were called around 6:15 a.m. to the location of the structure fire near McDonald’s on Linden Avenue, east of Woodman Drive. No one was injured in the fire as the sole individual in the structure was able to evacuate. The road adjacent to the fire was closed as crews worked to control the scene. According to Huber Heights Dispatch, the road is open again as of 9:38 a.m. A cause for the fire is unknown at this time.
