VIDEO: Two members of the Mansfield Fire Department were promoted on Wednesday to important positions. Chief Daniel Crow talks about who was promoted and what their new responsibilities will be.
"We promoted two of our members to leadership positions today. Rob Garn was promoted to Assistant Chief, and Matt Emerson was promoted to Captain," Crow said. "These are both very important positions for our fire department. Assistant Chief Garn is going to be responsible for overseeing our EMS operations, and Captain Emerson is going to be at station one on B-crew, so he's going to have a lot of responsibilities with that crew."
The Assistant Chief works closely with EMS and the Medical Director to ensure that all members of the fire and EMS are trained in the proper protocols, while also maintaining the level of quality and standards citizens expect.
