A hiker was hurt Wednesday afternoon in a fall near Abiqua Creek along the waterfall trail, Silverton Fire District officials said. Crews were called out about 1 p.m. on reports of an injured hiker in the area. Rescue personnel helped the hiker out of the canyon. The hiker suffered minor injuries. Silverton Fire, Woodburn Ambulance, Salem Fire and the Marion County Sheriff's Office all responded to the incident.
