Jackson County Search and Rescue responded to a double drowning at Lost Creek Lake Sunday night. Search and Rescue (SAR) first got the call just before 8:00 that two men fell into the water while tubing with their family. Neither men were wearing life jackets at the time according to Sgt. Shawn Richards of SAR. "They were tubing and then fell off the tube," Richards said. "One went to help the other one and unfortunately both [succumbed] to the probably cold temperatures of the water." One of the men was recovered on the scene of the drowning when SAR first responded. 25-year-old Irving Fuentes was taken to the hospital but was determined to be deceased. Richards says Search and Rescue will be out in the middle of the lake again to try and find the second person, identified as 29-year-old Juan Carlos Fuentes.
