A mobile home is a total loss after a fire broke out early Monday morning.
It happened just before 1 a.m. on the 3200 block of Industrial Avenue in Springfield.
Officials with Eugene Springfield Fire say they found flames and smoke coming from the mobile home when they arrived on scene. Two people living inside both evacuated by the time firefighters arrived.
"It's the time of year we'd like to remind everybody to be fire safe," said Battalion Chief Todd Schwartz. "Check your smoke detectors and be careful with all cooking, heating and smoking implements."
Based on the initial reports, firefighters sent a full alarm unit with four engines, one truck company, a medic unit and two chief officers to the scene.
The Red Cross has been called in to help find the two residents a place to stay.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
