In light of Fred Charlton's retirement, Nick Browne began serving as Clackamas Fire's chief starting May 1.
Browne joined Clackamas Fire in 2008 and most recently served as division chief of operations, where he oversaw all aspects of emergency response and firefighter safety. Prior to that, he was a lieutenant, captain and battalion chief.
Looking to the future, Browne plans to continue creating community partnerships to enhance emergency service delivery within Clackamas County.
"We have a great team and I am looking forward to working through the challenges we have in front of us, while continuing to provide first-class fire and emergency services," he said.
