PHOTOS: Firefighters battled a commercial blaze in North Portland in the 12000 block of N. Portland Road Saturday afternoon. Crews were dispatched just about 1:10 p.m. to an auto recycling business. A large black smoke plume could be seen across the city before firefighters were able to get water on the fire. Units from Portland and Vancouver Fire responded. Officials say getting water to the fire was an issue. A water tender was called in to shuttle water to the scene. A fire investigator will work to determine the cause.
