According to Clackamas Fire, employees at the lodge called firefighters at about 9:30 to report that a fire was burning in the lodge's attic.
Firefighters said that they had gotten a good handle on the fire and were doing everything they could to preserve the historic building.
Firefighters from Hoodland Fire, Gresham Fire, Estacada, and Portland also responded.
Portland Fire & Rescue said it sent a ladder truck and a battalion chief to aid in the firefighting efforts.
Shortly after 11 p.m. Clackamas Fire announced the fire had been put out after being confined to the attic and roof.
Currently, the cause of the fire is believed to be some embers from the main fireplace in the headhouse.
