VIDEO: A fire destroyed a garage and 2 classic cars in Coburg on Saturday, February 24th. Upon arrival, Coburg Fire called for extra resources, including a Eugene Springfield medic unit and a backup engine from Harrisburg. The fire departments reportedly arrived in 20 minutes. Neighbor Gavin Martin tells us that, "Flames going about 25 feet high, propane tanks blowing off, um it's pretty scary. It's his shop, with classic cars. He's got a '58 GMC and a '67 Nova.” A neighbor jumped in to make sure the surrounding vehicles were out of the way and called 911. The flames were visible from a mile and a half away. "We had a fully involved garage and shop, unfortunately with some antique vehicles in it that we lost and we got a quick knockdown and now we're just mopping up,” Coburg Fire Chief Chad Minter tells us.
