Funeral arrangements have been made for a firefighter who died 12 days after he was injured while on duty Aug. 2. Assistant Fire Chief Walter Wagaman died Wednesday, Aug. 14 at York Hospital. The Buchanan Valley Fire Department released details about the funeral on its website. The funeral will be at Gettysburg High School, 1130 Old Harrisburg Road in Gettysburg on Sunday, Aug. 18. Visitation is 2 to 4 p.m. with the service following immediately after. There will be apparatus staging for departments or agencies. Those sending an apparatus should arrive together and should notify the department by sending an email to LODD@buchananvalleyfd.org. The funeral procession will travel from the Gettysburg High School south on Old Harrisburg to Lincoln Avenue.
