Lower Providence firefighters Monday morning quickly extinguished a residential blaze that started in the home's kitchen.
Fire crews were called to a home on the 5000 block of Defford Place in the township's Eagleville section for a report of a kitchen fire that originated from a stove, according to the Lower Providence Fire Department.
Battalion Chief 53 arrived around three minutes after the emergency call came through and observed the house fire, subsequently calling in the incident to firefighters who came out to put out the blaze, according to the department. Upon arrival, crews found nobody inside the structure and the fire was quickly located to the kitchen and ultimately extinguished. No injuries to any party involved were reported.
